Billing Support is directly responsible for obtaining authorizations, submitting claims, & verifying eligibility benefits.

Billing Support is directly responsible for obtaining authorizations, submitting claims, & verifying eligibility benefits.
Responsibilities include:
- Work directly with the Billing Manager.
- Obtain initial & concurrent authorizations for all programs & levels of care & for all insurance payers.
- Review & release claims from Best Notes, our electronical medical records software ("EMR"), to EZ Claim, our billing management software.
- Submit claims from EZ Claim to the various insurance payers, either by direct submission (Maryland Medicaid) or through our clearinghouse (Medicare & Private Insurance).
- Determine benefits eligibility for all new clients in advance of their initial appointments & input the information into the EMR system.
- Work closely with the administrative & clinical staff at all program locations when additional information is needed to obtain authorizations.
- Be available to administrative & clinical staff at all program locations to help answer billing related questions.
- Sending patient / client statements.
- Fulfilling requests for medical records.
- Updating & sending client balances to the outpatient offices.
- Any other administrative-related tasks that may be requested.

Required Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required.
- 2+ years of medical billing experience preferred but not required.
- Experience working with Medicaid, Medicare, & Private Insurance providers preferred but not required.
Hours:
- Full Time
- Monday - Friday from 9:00am - 5:00pm
- Paid time off (PTO)
